Could you post the output of the route command.... Do you have a proper route configured? Also like a previous poster said.... Are you able to ping to some address which it is able to resolve. Eg. If you do a $ping www.google.com does it reply saying that packets are returned from 216.239.33.99 If you could post the output of your route command then maybe something could be done after that.
