The VGA_16 server is an undemanding (and correspondingly unattractive)
server that will work with about any video card currently available --
anything that is VGA compatible. The SVGA server will probably work too. But
others are right; you want to find an X11 server designed to support your
card -- it will look much better than what you are seeing in VGA_16 (but if
you can get SVGA to work, you may find that tolerable while you look for
something better).
