Use minicom -s you can then set the defaults.
However that will still not work, as i have just read your mail with all the
defauts and information you have given, your modem and /dev/cua1 are on IRQ5
and you saisd you modem is on irq3 thats your problem.
IRQ3 on your system has a NE2000 ethernet card assigned.
Considering Ray Olszewski asked you all the questions which you answered i
will leave it up to his capeable hands to tell you what to do as he has much
more insight for modems than i.
