Nobody says you have to use the "not entirely free" software included with
the RH distributions. They are only there to try if you want.
And those programs do not REQUIRE RH Linux unlike some company that has
programs that ONLY run under WinDOZE$.
Some of us who are just getting started in Linux appreciate being able to
get things running smoothly first, then experimenting with compiling and
debugging. Just MHO! ;>))
