Desktops

I'm finding KDE to be a little feature-rich. It also uses a far too much
screen real estate. Is there an X desktop environment out there that is
minimal? Frankly, I'm looking for a Win-95 clone. One (small) bar down the
bottom with a list of running processes and one "start" button. Shortcuts on
the desktop. I don't even need a clock on the bar. K is just too much.
