I aksed like Ray that you "quote" the messages given, but anyway its now
clear what is wrong.
"apm: nor supported by kernel"
So you have done something wrong, quite possably what i said in one of my
previous mails. Kernel image not installed in the proper place and lilo was
not rerun.
I also belive i pointed you to the kernel-howto for futher help on
configuring compileing and installing a new kernel.
