Hmm, Well the streamer is on port 1, not port 0, but I suppose the parport
stuff coould be messing up because one of the ports is sharing an IRQ..
I'll try removing the sound card.  The sound stuff is compiled as a
module.

Oh right...  Unfortunately I don't have a manual for the IDE interface
(which has the port on it), so I'll have to play around with the jumpers a
bit... I'll have a go when I have some time.
