Ouch, yes. There is a FAQ on this, GCC-SIG11-FAQ. It's usually hardware
problems. I can reproduce it quite reliably by putting in a bad memory
SIMM I have, or by overclocking the processor or memory bus too far, or by
running the computer too long without the processor fan plugged in (done
them all).
Often, underclocking is a cheap (free) and expedient fix.
