We are currrently working directly with Aiwa to get the Bolt drive (and
the Sony SuperStation) properly supported in the Linux kernel.

Aiwa's ADT and Japanese engineering and product groups are now fully
supportive of our efforts to get these drives supported under Linux and
they have forwarded proper documentation to EST. I have provided them
to Gadi Oxman (IDE tape author) so that we can get started on the new
driver requirements.

Please be patient as there will be proper support for the
Bolt/SuperStation drives as soon as we can get the coding and testing
completed. Unfortunately, we're not sure of a timetable for the project
as yet. Stay tuned to this Linux channel for breaking news.

Plus, if you've had a conversation with anyone at Aiwa, it might be a
good thing to call them again and let them know that we all appreciate
them getting involved with Linux.
