To Greg - Uhhh, you need to insmod the bpck-fdc.o module to complete the
module installation. The zftape.o module just sets up the logical tape
layer stuff.

To the list - Everyone with Ditto Max issues (and other parallel port
issues), please visit http://www.LinuxTapeCert.org/ and check out the
TechHelp section. See if what is presented there works for you. The
steps listed work on 6 different systems here running Red Hat 6.1, SuSE
6.2, Debian 2.1, TurboLinux 4.0, Mandrake 6.5 (MacMillan), and Caldera
2.3. We've tested it with Ditto 2GB, Ditto Max, Exabyte TR-3, and
Seagate 3200 parallel port drives.

If it doesn't help, please let me know and I'll see what we can add to
the info there to better help resolve the problems that you are running
into. It's important that we get feedback, because we want this site to
be a helpful resource for Linux users (that's all of you!).
