I tested this configuration and agree. After digging into things this
weekend, I've discovered that this combination will not work. I'm sure
that it could be /MADE/ to work, but I wouldn't want to be responsible
for those code changes. It appears that it would require a major
rewrite (again) of the kernel parallel port interface.
