Yes it was a mandrake kernel. However. I posted a question to this list in the 
same thread a couple of days ago asking where I could get the latest patch. 
Greg responded and I then proceeded to download the patch and apply it to the 
mandrake kernel I was using (I also tried 2.4.20-pre11). I then posted right 
after that that it did not fix the problem but seemed to improve the 
situation. My last post was to show the oops that was happening that I 
previously could not see because my machine was hard locking. As for the 
NVidia driver... it has no bearing on the problem I'm having. Below is 
another oops from 2.4.20-pre11 with the ehci update and without the NVidia 
driver loaded. The oops occured in the same location as in my previous post. 
I've also attached my hardware info as you requested.
