That might not be your only problem, if the sparky can't understand it then
who is going to COC it?
Can I ask why the need to go to X-10? If I was going to look for lighting
control systems on the cheap (sorry, low cost) I would probably start with
DMX-512? Then all controls would be ELV and not need to be understood by the
sparky....

What's the status of the power your planing to control, cause X-10 isn't
immune to mains bourne noise created by computer PSU's, fridge, freezer and
water pump motors.
