If you are using the box as an x-terminal, you can remove the IDE HDD
(it is an IDE HDD, before anyone yells SCSI :) and replace it with a
Compact Flash card and adaptor. I am sure you can get a working X setup
into 64MB :) Something along the lines of

CRT monitors are noisy compared to their LCD counterparts, but not as
noisy as the old box in the back of my office with a dodgy fan :(

I have never picked one up, to be honest. However, I could imagine that
the CRT in the eMac is very heavy. When I was comparing the new iMac to
the eMac, I was more referring to the processing power, rather than the
weight.

As far a portability, I find carrying a PC is a pain, no matter the make
or model. One trip for the monitor, one for the box, and a final trip
for the keyboard, cables and mouse!

Oh, Zarus! How I Envy Thee.
