I honestly forgot about the option; my main machine is not connected to a network so network booting is not in my head-space. However, it may be easier to set up booting from a local drive, rather than network booting, as you have fewer protocols, fewer machines, fewer cables... Having said that, I feel more comfortable playing with memory cards than I do with networking protocols, so I may be a bit biased!
