Yeah - if you want to blow $400+ on the 1 Gb CF card.  CF cards are
about 50c a Mb at the moment, and remember they have a limited number of
read/write cycles.

I want a quiet hard drive for my laptop, and I did look into this as an
option, unfortunately my linux install is about 500 Mb on its own, plus
whatever data files I want to carry about.

And muffling the drive didn;t really do anything much about the noise.
