Dear group,
Downloaded the "scanModem.gz" file from www.linmodems.org (generated
heaps of info to research :$). As far as I remember, it is an "Agere Systems
AC'97 modem", so should (theoretically) work okay under Linux...? Anyway, at
least the toilet is now "Designed for Microsoft Windows XP"... ;) Thanks for
all the input regarding this issue. Yes, patience is DEFINITELY required.
