Why not get used to SuSE first? It seems like it is almost there for you so why tempt fate starting over again with another distro which was not 100% successful anyway.
Remember that Ubuntu does not fully support KDE yet? Remember also my comment that there are more users locally who are maore familiar with SuSE than Ubuntu.
