I used: rpm -ql mysql | less It returned : Package mysql not installed. How do I check if the package is on the machine, I think I can install it if its there somewhere.
My cd-rom is not mounted and I'm guessing I need to mount it to install mysql, regardless, I'll need to mount it sometime. Is this correct: "right click" desktop create new device cd-rom device device ( from dropdown ) /dev/hdc/ (/mnt/cdrom) Regards Kelvyn
