Yes. Simon Knight has been playing with this recently and spent an hour
telling me just how good it is.
I was looking at some PDAs today (as the wife wants to get orginised)
and that was one of my considerations.
You'll get a far better solution that won't take all your available resources for no aparrent (sp?) reason,
I installed the Linux version on my sad old laptop and noticed no issues.
The XP version is running on my desktop with the following open:
Firefox: 25 open tabs
Thunderbird: IMAP
Explorer
Photoshop: Not sure how many images
Excel
3/4gig ram, p4/2g processor
and isn't owned by ebay.
Point taken.
I really am getting to love this product, and I've only just scraped the
surface. However, I now have a presence in Birmingham ( W Mids ) that is
redirected to me here, all for gbp3/month. Next is the other way, which is a 25
quid setup fee, then standard uk rates. This *will* save me a fortune! It's
even got CLI, which the land line doesn't!
Interesting to note that a local call with Telecom on a business line at
$50+ per month costs 4.55 cents / min + GST. Skype is 20% cheaper.
If I set up an Astrix pabx what hand sets do I use with it?
Does it have a global directory?
No, I'm not trying to one up here, I want answers because I don't know.
I am interested in technology.
