I should have been spending the last 2 days writting up notes for the
kids who showed up for 9 hours of leatures on LINUX. We ended up with
10 of them this week!
A project that I might point out, any one of you could have stepped up
and done!
Rik - you have the balls to give me shit on this list about my
competence in teaching these people, you say you're going to support it,
you say you're going to turn up... where have you been for the past 3
weeks?!
Walking before I can run. Being careful about over-extension. Not
getting pushed unmanageably far by proprietary leverage (having issued
just such a clear warning offlist).
I've been in IT for 20 years!!! I *have* the skills to know when it's a
rabit hole!
You may have preferred the blue pill.
There is just the one choice though.
In the mean time I'm going back to XP and will go back to posting form
Thunderbird until the next CLUG meeting where you people can help me
sort the problem out if you want.
Other wise, Rik, fuck off complaining about the fact I haven't managed
to get the wifi running yet. You don't have to trip over cords in my
house all day!!!

In 24-48 hours I will have had a close look at Broadcom wifi under
Ubuntu GNU/Linux 6.06 & '2.6.15' (.17) kernel. Anything insightful
discovered you will hear about immediately, and nothing if not.
Hang in there mate. We are friends if we are *nix.
