1. Use xxxx wifi module, it should work - but does need kernel x.x.x.17... hummm.... u6.06 stops at 15.23... err not sure why....
.17 kernel is based on Ubuntu's .15 work, from what I've read (15-26 now actually). So this route is viable, with a little patience.
2. Change distro to xxxxx - use live cd.... I can give you one....
Same as above, but switching to KDE. Your choice of preference. This will leave supporting you in Rob & Andrew (et. al.)'s capable hands :)
3. Use Google - google says.... use ndiswrapper.... ndiswrapper doesn't seem to load... wifi ko file doesn't seem to load....
Old news - walk away from it. This is what borked Ubu5.10->6.06 upgrade: not yours or any other cluger's fault. hth ~/r
