do you have a good reason to be using the 2 routers?  i am only
guessing, as this seems to have stumped the examination of a number of
experienced posters to this list, that the 2 routers is the problem. 
and because you say you have little networking knowledge and your
current arrangement is not the simplest to get working.  i am suggesting
a simplification in the first instance to see if you can get success at
that point. 

if this was one of the first things you tried, you may still have had
other routing / dns issues that have subsequently been altered.  you
would in effect need to go back to square one with just the d-link or
just the linksys router, and once again go through the troubleshooting
steps again, ie post the output of ifconfig -a and route -n, and cat
/etc/resolv.conf
