If buying on Trademe, that might be a bit awkward.. Ask the seller a question first to check they are OK with the 'must boot knoppix' idea. A a question for Dave G, what sort of spec are you looking for? I've got an old 486 laptop that runs DSL (barely) you can have for well under $1k. :-). Cheers, Chris H.
