Is your Wi-fi adapter a model TL-WR702N? In that model's specifications
online it's stated to be compatible with "UNIX® or Linux".
My TP-Link TL-MR3020 Wi-fi adapter/3G router works quite all right with
our Linux boxes.
What steps have you taken to set it up and to troubleshoot it? It's
probably best if you can set it up first on a wired network - even if
that just means connecting it via an Ethernet cable to (one of) your
computer(s).
In fairness to the OP, the one time I had to contact TP-Link tech
support (regarding a printing problem that I *thought* was due to their
TL-PS110U print server), I found them useless too.

My new fangled TP-LInk 150 Mbps Nano Wireless Wi-Fi adapter doesn't
appear to work under LInux.
A call to technical support revealed that they do not support linux
installations.
What can I do to get wireless internet under Linux? Should I go and
ask for my money back?
Please advise me on any Wireless Wi-Fi Adapters that run under Linux.
