Yup.  Being a Linux user for 4+ years, I can say that Linux is still 
best suited to running servers.  They're advancing on the desktop, and 
all my computers run Linux primarily, if not being the only OS on them. 
  However, it's really only viable as a desktop solution if you have 
somebody knowledgable to set the thing up for you in the first place. 
Learning Linux system administration from scratch is a pain.

However, we're here to help.  Come to us with some specific questions, 
and hopefully we can help you out.
