Yes.  SuSe and Mandrake were the first ones I'd even consider taking a stab 
at.  They are much better.

Even the gurus. I'm sure, would like to actually *use* their computer once in 
awhile instead of spending all the time just getting it to do something or 
something else the right way.  MS has its faults, but, for the most part, a 
computer illiterate gran'ma or a young child can turn it on outta the box and 
get it to do most of the stuff it's supposed to without tech support.

If I can't get it, I'll try them.  I'm gonna try to whip it first.  I don't 
give up that easily.

At least ATI has a driver option.  It's not complete, has enough doublespeak 
and disclaimers to be at a political convention and forces me to really think 
about the consequences.  Still, it is something - unlike the sound card 
issues.
