I built most of the computers myself... the two IU (thin) servers at the 
bottom of the server stack I purchased non-working, and did some repairs 
to get them up and running.

The rest (except for the WaveMaster case, which I bought empty) was 
purchased used or found in the trash, and assembled from parts.

I got a lot of my learning on building computers from another Yahoo 
group that focuses strictly on building computers, called 1pcbuilder:
