Do you mean elsewhere in the OS, or entirely outside--ie, in the hardware?
I've tested every other component--graphics card, power supply and hard disk--and each
of these parts works. Given a) that the system (including the motherboard and the CPU)
was working before I attempted to run Linux and b) that PCQ (July I think) article had
warned against using an incompatible kernel, I can only conclude that it must be the
kernel.
Am I missing something?
