Revenue and business models are utterly different for foss, as we all know. 
Canonical might well be setting up themselves into a content aggregator.
Or they might be having an entirely different take on their strategy.

But that is not the point. My point is that the market at the lowest end of 
the pyramid is  a very very long tail, as are the market dynamics, financials 
etc.
