I just started playing with it. It suspends and resumes... but
that the screen is black. It does come back up though, so I'm hoping that
playing around with vbetool will enable restoration of the display.
If the screen is black is hasn't really resumed.
Actually, it has resumed. I can ssh into the machine, and likewise I can
chvt to a console and blind-type '/sbin/reboot'.
During these suspend posts it is important to note whether you are
trying 32bit or 64bit bc it makes a difference.
I did note that:
2.6.16.2 32bit/ swsusp 2.2.4 / 3460us
^^
Also, Try suspending first WITHOUT the nvidia driver loaded and X
should NOT be running. If that doesn't work then of course it's not
going to work with X and nvidia.
Suspend/resume works perfectly using the nv driver and X running, so in
this case the problem is the nvidia driver.
There is an *new* nVIDIA driver as of April 7th that is supposed to take
care of this problem.
I have not tested it. I found out about it by chance less than 10 minutes
ago.
