If you mean the Netgear isn't an Atheros I beg to differ. Mine definitely is and has worked fine with MADWifi for over a year.
On the other hand, if you mean it's not being *recognised* as an Atheros chipset then I would suggest joining the Madwifi Users mailing list ( lists.sourceforge.net )
