Hi. As the subject says, it seems linuxwacom is somehow responsible for breaking mouse events (that is, primary non-tablet mouse events) in the Gimp. With version 0.7.4-3 of the linuxwacom driver, everything works fine. Upgrading to version 0.7.6-4 or 0.7.7-6, without any other changes to the system, makes my primary mouse (usb) not register at all in image areas (ie drawable surfaces) in the gimp. The cursor coordinate view stops updating, and no clicks go through. It's as if the mouse doesn't even exist as far as gimp is concerned. The tablet (an Intuos2, usb) still works fine with pressure-sensitivity and all that (seems to be less jittery, actually). I've tried with various versions of gimp, but the only thing that seems to matter is the version of the linuxwacom driver. I'm using Xorg 7.1, btw.
Anyone else encountered this problem, or know how to fix it ? - Gerry ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
