Sure, no problem. I keep saying that I'd rather use Flex, but I don't
want that to give anybody the impression that I'm not impressed with
Laszlo. I'm learning a lot about it and I really like what all it has to
offer. It's quite powerful and it has the added "benefit", (yes, I know
that's an arguable point -- can't use AS2) that is plays down to the
Flash 5 player.

Also, to your other point, Macromedia says that while the license is for
2 cpus the average Flex project should really be run with at least 6-8
cpus and you'll also need to double that, as you can't use the free
license for your staging area either. So, it's not 12K for a real
"Enterprise" setup, but more like $36K plus hardware for your production
environment and at very least an extra $12K for your staging
environment. Also, the development license is VERY limiting so if you're
doing any real development like you would at an "Enterprise" level,
you'll need an extra $12K to spend there too. Now we're up to a cool
$60K to set things up the way MM recommends.

I have the same reaction on Flex justification. Except I have not seen
it for 12k. More like 12k and you have to buy 2 copies. Thanks for the
tip on Laszio. I have not reviewed that one yet.
