Either 2004 or 2005 was the worst year ever for HGUC (I can't decide
which one was the worst).  But 2006 looks extremely promising, it's
been a long time since HGUC released three entirely new MS in three
months.  Ok perhaps the really skeptical type would argue Dom/Rick Dom
isn't a new MS.  But I am too giddy to notice.

It's on-par to previous 2 years ... we actually only have (referring to Hobbysearch listening as of today) one recoloring(Hi-Zack), and 2 with minor change (Mk-II with flying armor and GM Commands); in 02/03 2 we got also one recoloring (Bawoo) and 5 (!) with minor change (Super Gundam, 2 Zaku II, Red Rick Dias, Gelgoog Marine).
04/05 & 02/03 years produced 13 & 14 HGUC kits respectively (not counting special edition), so 04/05 are actually better years!

Don't let your mind flooded with the special edition metallic Zeta models as the movies came out this year.

(but the cynical/paranoid side of me is now questioning the
credibility of HGUC Gaza-C in  near future)

And the Black Tri-star set released in the same month as Dom/Rick Dom.
It's official, Bandai is pro-choice!  But Black Tri-star set is
offered at a 22% discount, that's rather un-Bandai. I should like to
found out what gimmicks get cut to realize the cost saving.  One
possibility is that the Doms are not convertible to Rick Dom, another
is only one set of weapons are provided.

I think they'd take out the Rick-Dom parts but not the weapon. 3 Beam Bazooka are quite some plastic to take out from a package considering its weight, which may justify the discount.
