More infalmmatory tactics and disengenious language from a well known
source of such, namely yourself. They certainly have a history of routing
around their problems (WIPO). One of the key things they try to route
around is the US Constitution, especially the First Amendment (Free speech,
remember?). What about that Congressional Bill they introduced last year to
try an circumvent all Internet consensus, and stomp all over human rights
in the process? Yes, they have political clout. This is exactly why I don't
want that camel in my tent. It's like making friends with a mako shark,
don't be surprised when you pull back a stub. Don't be surprised when a
snake bites you either, it is the nature of the beast.

I am not speaking theory here, I am talking about actual, documented,
track-record. Show me a case where WIPO *hasn't* eaten their partners. I
don't see any. Even if there were, the fact that they do it at all should
cause a smidgen of concern.

The trademark lobby has a long track-record of egregious bills and freedom
restricting activity, as well as double-speak, double-dealing, and
back-stabbing. They will get what they can via "normal" channels, with the
appearance of compromise, then slam-dunk you with a legislative action to
get what they originally demanded and stick you with the results through
external force. AFAIC, they are the single largest force, against human
rights, on the planet.

If you are wondering about my agenda and vehemence, know that I always have
been a vocal proponent for freedom and civil liberties, that greatly
trancend the Internet, business, and profits. This is a higher calling that
you seem to have missed.
