To an extent, yes--Flex is still not how every single web site/app on
the planet should be built. Like everything it has its strengths and

functionality it's great. For apps that are more content-driven HTML

This is going to sound stupid, but could you define "content-driven"? I
think I know what you're getting at, but would like to hear it if you
wouldn't mind. :o)
The only thing it's lacking is access to the client
machine's file system.
This is one of the advantages of deploying Flex and Flash apps through
the Apollo runtime (which isn't available yet, but they talked it up
big time at MAX).
I heard something about that a while ago, but couldn't remember what it
was called. It may have even been someone on this list that told me
about it. I dunno. :o/
