Elan, you're a loyal defender of the faith, and I respect that.
I agree that /View is a good thing.
Carl announced the beta would be available in mid-January. I think we
should do everything we can to hold him to this. If /View is good
enough to put all the RT programmers on the project, then it should be
good enough to put the rest of us on it too.
There is such a thing as tough love, and I think if you love REBOL, it
is now time to be tough. Carl promised us a /View beta this month, and
I sincerely hope that we will actually see it. If something isn't
perfect, then fix it and release beta/2. Release. Release. Release.
Linus taught us that.
REBOL/Core is an astounding achievement, and I too am a true believer.
But I also believe that REBOL cannot rest on it's laurels forever, and
it is time to put something more on the table.
Because I believe in /View, I want the beta to ship, before it turns
into /Vapor.
