Based on the way DC works our techs recommend fuses instead of breakers (we 
work with 12-48v dc battery packs all the time in off-grid solar PV homes). 
More expensive but when you want them to trip, like an overcurrent situation a 
fuse WILL BLOW, a breaker that may have tripped a number of times may have 
suffered some contact damage and fail to trip. Believe me you want the safety 
of a fuse. My 2 cents.
