Many people on the DL have been using the 400-450 Amp Alltrax controllers, but I opted for the 300 amp Alltrax 60-72V unit for my Honda VF conversion. Absolutely no issues, don't feel like it is not enough, also don't worry I am going to toast my Perm motor.
My next project is a 3 wheel car/motorcycle, over 1000 lbs. I may opt for a larger controller just because the motor choice may be a larger Series Wound.
