What type of batteries are you going to go with?
I may be making a mistake, but I just bought some surplus Hawker SBS60s.
51 A-h 12V. I figure if they have even some life left in them, they will
get me through the experimenting stage. I figure get it running on the
cheap, take some readings, and figure out what it will really take to do
the job. As far as eventual batteries; I hope lithiums. I'm researching
them now, trying to separate fact from fantasy.
I am not familiar with that motor. Do you have any pictures of the motor?

shows the motor sitting in the frame. I have it apart now if you want to
see the 'innards'. It looks pretty stout. Sure is heavy.
