Linda, I just read Shakespeare's Secret too. I have always been so close-minded about anyone but Shakespeare writing his plays, but the way this book was presented intrigued me and helped me understand why some people are Oxfordians. Give The Lightning Thief another chance - it's very creative! You know, timing is everything and sometimes it's just not the right time for certain books. A Mango-Shaped Space is by the same author, Wendy Mass, who wrote Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life - give it a try too - it's wonderful!
