Hi!

We have a system of daily independent work which includes vocabulary,
writing workshop, and reading workshop. Every Friday, they must post an
RRJ entry (two paragraphs - summary and personal reaction) on our class
blog. I write responses (sometimes modeling, sometimes prodding, sometimes
simply reacting), and occasionally they look at each other's blogs as well.

I offer "choice time" at the end of each block, usually 15-30 minutes.
Anything left over (whether independent work or project work for given
unit) is homework. :-)

Take care,
