Rick, thank you for correcting my post. I forgot about the subsequent 
acquisition by Navico and knew nothing about the ensuing machinations.

My only point was that Northstar never offered an autopilot until both they 
and Navman were acquired by Brunswick and that the Northstar autopilot is, 
for better or worse, the Navman with a differently styled color control 
head. The point about a larger (and probably faster) hydraulic cylinder is a 
good one and I'm learning that in this case, like anchors, the next size up 
is important.
