Not that it is completely over but: I went through Boat US & their surveyor and I have that "Good Hands" feeling about them AND the Boatyard.
- the hull popped back to shape when the stand was relaxed. - it looks like (subject to stripping the bottom paint off & eyeballing it) the cracking is light & on the gelcoat. Stress cracking below the waterline would call for a sealing coat. I'm thinking some variety of epoxy - advice from the list always appreciated but I won't have time to strip & look until this weekend. - the Yard, Back Yard Boats in Shady Side MD, was & is a pleasure to deal with. Susie is the Yard manager & I'll be back. - Contributing to the "oops" is that the 88 C&C 30 has a deceptive profile & that bulkhead isn't where the cabin profile suggests. (Really underlines all the advice about marking (etc) the best sling locations.) - the "un-surveyor" (Mr Wrong) is in Annapolis & lets just say they SURVEY things MARINE in the HARBOR... (I feel a little funny slamming anyone, but...)
