Vern, good info, since most people use a store bought computer (branded). I build all my computers using my choice of mobo and such, and do all my upgrades/downloads from MS. I am not a gamer, so stability is more important to me than performance - still had an IE7 problem. I have to say that based on many systems I seem to have the best luck with Asustech mobos, have an unattented server running in my basement for about eight years now running a dual-celeron system with Win2k server. Maybe their support sucks, but if the product is good you never have to rely on their support. I find that the user base gives more appropiate help than any manufacturer any day. (Learn to google with the right key words). My advice about service packs still stands... wait until the dust settles.
