We have our boat at Burnt Store Marina in Punta Gorda, FL. Upon returning
from the outside we enter thru Boca Grande and then it is about 3 hours to our
marina thru Charlotte Harbor.

There are several areas to anchor when you come thru Boca Grande. One in
particular in Pelican Bay. Once you come thru the pass Pelican is on your
right.
It is pretty protected. We have weathered a few storms sitting in Pelican
Bay. There are also several more anchorages after you pass Pelican as well.
