Having a current aux CG review is wise. Last year about five miles west of the Bahamas I noticed a CG cutter in motion and a helicopter flying in and out of sight. The cutter was calling boats at specific coordinates as spotted by the helicopter. The first questions was "have you had a current CG inspection"? One boat that was called replied that he had one by the aux CG. The CG said "thanks for supporting the aux CG and have a good day.
