Yeah, I wasn't recommending the kerosene lamp. Just figuring that it
establishes an acceptable location to hang an electric lamp. Also, using
a bright enough light in the foretriangle illuminates the deck, which is
an awfully nice extra safety feature if e.g. the anchor drags and has to
be reset in the dark, when barely-woken-back-up.

Like I said before, I'd probably go for something along the lines of one
of them solar garden lights in the foretriangle (if I could convince
myself that it's bright enough).
