While Andina builds superlative equipment, I have an isolation transformer on
my boat. I got it for a reasonable price from Groban Supply many years ago.
It is a multi-tap type transformer so it can be adjusted for low dock voltage.
But since I rarely dock, I use it primarily as a 240 to 120 vac transformer to
get 120 vac from the 240 vac output of my 8kw genset so it always sees a
balanced load.
